Dental cleaning advice for your home care routine from Holly V.
Coming in twice a year for teeth cleaning is definitely a good start to your oral health, but that is only the start. Let me suggest to you the American Dental Association recommended at-home dental care regiment. Brush your teeth twice a day, but don’t rush. Use the proper equipment, such as a soft bristled toothbrush, that fits your mouth or maybe an electric operated one. Practice good technique by holding your toothbrush at a slight angle aiming the bristles toward the area where your tooth meets your gum. Keep your equipment clean by always rinsing your toothbrush with water after brushing. Know when to replace your toothbrush. Also, when flossing, don’t skimp on the floss, use about 18 inches. Be gentle by using a rubbing motion to get between teeth. Take the teeth one at a time and rub both sides of the tooth. Finally, keep it up for better dental health.
